What is a Checklist?

A checklist is a tool designed to help businesses ensure consistency and efficiency by providing a structured list of tasks or steps to be completed. It acts as a guide to standardize operations, maintain quality, and ensure that no critical tasks are missed. See the following video below:

Questions types available for a checklist

In TreeAMS checklists, question types refer to the formats used for capturing responses to tasks or requirements. These types allow flexibility and ensure that the checklist fits different operational needs. Here's an overview of the main question types:

How to Create a Checklist Content

  1. Go to Admin Site (Desk). Learn how you can switch to Admin Site (Desk) here!
  2. Select Content
  3. Click Content Library
  4. Click + Add Content Library
  5. For the content type, select Checklist. Refer to Content Types: Blocks vs Collections to learn more about different content types available on TreeAMS
  6. Enter the name of your Checklist by putting it in the Content Name
  7. Click Save before you start adding your checklist questions
  8. Tick any Assessment Details checkboxes you need
    • Requires Review πŸ‘‰ means a reviewer must approve the checklist before submission, especially if it includes open-ended answers.
    • Allow Corrective Actions πŸ‘‰ lets assignees assign tasks to resolve issues found during the checklist.
    • Answers Required πŸ‘‰ means assignees must answer all questions before they can submit the checklist.
  9. To start adding the checklist questions, click Add Row
  10. Choose the Question Type
  11. Type your question
  12. Add the Question Category

    Note: Question Category is a classification used to group related questions within a checklist, audit, and quiz. It helps organize the structure of tasks, making it easier for users to focus on specific areas or themes during their workflow.

  13. To add more questions, you can repeat steps 9 to 12. Otherwise, click Save and your checklist is ready!

How to Delete a Checklist Content

  1. From Content Library, select all checklists you want to delete
  2. Click Actions
  3. Click Delete

In TreeAMS, checklists and audits are essential tools designed for different purposes, and understanding their distinctions can help you decide which one to use.
